Time to get Eggcited for Easter. It’s an eggcellent time to get out and have an adventure in Kent. We’re eggstatic to let you know about our top eggcentric events to head to over the Easter holidays. (We promise we got all our egg-based humour out the way, you can’t put all your eggs in one basket after all)
We’re start of with the most crucial part of Easter, the Easter Egg hunt. Whilst there are a ton of places hosting their own hunts we think one of the best has to be at Hever Castle @ Edenbridge.
The kids will need to be at the top of their game to find all the hidden Lindt bunnies hiding in Hever Castle’s award-winning gardens. The fun doesn’t stop there, with Easter quizzes, Easter bonnet making and some tasty home cooked food from the restaurant. We think you’ll have an Easter to remember with this one.
Seeing as Easter is for families, we’re overloading on family friendly adventures. This adventure is going to get the kids some chocolate but they might learn something along the way with an Easter Adventure Quest @ Down House
Meet characters from the distant past whilst on the hunt for chocolate rewards. Bump into a king, a monk or possibly even a Roman centurion. They’ll give you help on your quest and give you a bit of insight into their lives. Get hands-on with history and then get your hands on some chocolate!
History not your bag? How about getting nose to nose with nature and some rather cute little lambs? Alongside meeting the Easter Bunny and heading off on the Easter Egg trail, you can get a taste of farm life at Kent Life @ Maidstone
This is your opportunity to be a farmer for the day. Bottle feed lambs, take a tour on a tractor and meet the rest of the farm in Cuddle Corner. You’ll still be able to enjoy Easter and design your own ceramic Easter egg!
Here’s the one for the adults and those cooking a delicious Easter lunch. Want to blow everyone’s socks off? Well then, get some Kent grown treats from Broadstairs Food Festival
From the healthy and nutritional to the truly naughty you’ll find it here. With over 50 producers from around the county setting up shop, you’ll be able to indulge yourself with some of the top ingredients and treats all in one place!
That’s your lot for the week ladies and gents. Hopefully we’ve given you some good ideas to fill up your Easter holidays with! As always, make sure to share your adventures with us both online and on the App!
